This course will bring you a better knowledge and understanding of:

• The usefulness of epidemiology
• The basic definitions of descriptive epidemiology: health indicators, drug exposure and drug pattern of use, and graphical tools for descriptive epidemiology.
• The basic definitions of observational studies in pharmacoepidemiology: cohort studies, case control studies, cross-sectional studies/ descriptive studies

At the end of this course, you will be familiar with the basic concepts and principles in epidemiology as well as with the epidemiological tools used in pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology.
