1- PREAMBULE

This is the Privacy and Security Policy for the Eu2P website users. It describes how we treat personal information received about you when you visit our website and how we may use cookies to monitor usage patterns across the Eu2P website.

We are established and based in France. As such, this policy complies with EU and French data protection law. If you are resident outside the EU then we cannot confirm that our collection and treatment of personal data is compliant with your local data protection/privacy laws. If you do not agree to your data being dealt with in the manner described in this statement then please do not submit your personal details. However, please note that where you do not submit personal details that we request your access to the services/materials offered by this website will be restricted.

Please read this Privacy and Security Policy carefully, because by visiting or using the Eu2P website, you agree to its terms. This Privacy and Security Policy is a part of the Eu2P website Terms of Use. This applies only to the Eu2P website, and not to the websites of any other institutions, including companies, agencies or universities that are partners of the Eu2P Consortium.

We may revise this Privacy and Security Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any important changes by posting a notice on all Privacy and Security Policy links. If you see a notice of change, please check the Privacy and Security Policy, because your continued use of the Eu2P website after we post the change means you have agreed to the new terms.


2- ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

When you contact us we create a record in your name. We add information that we then collect, including information that you may give us during registration, to that record. The data controller for your personal data is the Université de Bordeaux.

When you complete an online application form, you will be required to provide us with personal information including your name, email address, postal address, phone number, whether you are a student, or who is your current employer. If you think that any information we have about you is incorrect or incomplete please write or e-mail us as soon as possible at contact@eu2p.org. We will correct or update any information as soon as possible.

We also automatically collect IP addresses and website usage information from you when you visit the Eu2P website.

You have the right under the French personal data protection (French law from the 6th of January 1978 related to Information technology, files and freedom) as well as under the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) to request details of personal information which we hold about you.

4- USE OF COOKIES AND YOUR PRIVACY

Security and data protection aspects

These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information. Session cookies are destroyed when an identified user signs out from the "My Eu2P" area or expire when no new server page request has been performed for several minutes.

Data access and removal rights

These session cookies are necessary for the "My Eu2P" private section to function and cannot be retrieved from nor switched off in our systems. You can set your web browser in order to block these cookies or alert you before authorizing or discarding them. Please note that by doing so, the "My Eu2P" private section of the website will then not work. If you are a registered "My Eu2P" website user and wish to sign in, you will need to allow "per-session" cookies use for your web browser.

Eu2P's performance cookies

Eu2P is using Piwik to analyse website visitors' profile anonymously. This enables improving Eu2P website services by analysing our visitors' browser versions, installed plug-ins, screen resolutions, computer or mobile devices... We can measure how many visitors came on our site, which pages they visited most and how much time they stayed on a page to analyse and improve our contents. We can also analyse where users are coming from (country, website links followed, search engine used, search engine keyword choices...) to improve our visibility to new users, who may be interested by our training programmes.

The visitor cookie does not store any personally identifiable information. Its lifetime on your computer is 6 months at the maximum (automatic cookie deletion).

The collected data of each visitor (computer users) website traffic are anonymously aggregated for a maximum duration of 6 months. They are not transmitted to any third-parts.

5- SECURITY

We take security very seriously. The personal data we collect about you is stored in limited access servers behind a firewall. We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect on-line.

All our staff members are made aware of the security procedures they must follow when handling personal information. Data is protected from unauthorised access and we are confident no one will be able to access your personal information unlawfully.

We also protect data that is being transferred. As long as your web browser supports the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), any personal data transmitted from your browser to our web service, or from the service to your browser, will be encrypted.

While we do our best to keep your information secure, nothing sent over the Internet is 100% secure, so you should use your best judgment when communicating with us.


6- LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

As outlined in the Eu2P website Terms of Use, we may link to other websites that are not within our control. While we will take all reasonable precautions to make sure that other organizations that we deal with have good security practices, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those organizations whose websites may be linked to our service. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
